I'm trying to repair an installation of Windows XP but when i try to boot from the CD it says press any key to boot from CD, but it's like the keyboard does nothing even though it worked with the bios beforehand.
750w would even do it lol, but it would be stressing it. Most good 750's such as antec, corsair etc could probably push out more than 750, like 850. But they have to leave a safety margin
One PSU I'm looking at has only 1 PCI-E power connector and some molex to pci-e for $100. For $150 I can get a modular one with 4x PCI-E connectors. Would this be better for crossfire?
Even if this is irrelevant I'm going to say it... unless you don't want to do any crossfire/sli or Overclocking.. basically any sort of tune up, then don't get the LE OR LX version
Yeah ok well I'm not too concerned about USB. I guess what I'm really asking is, will this z68 motherboard utilize the full potential of a new ivy bridge chips?
I've been wondering about this motherboard, it says it will support ivy bridge chipsets but would i be better of waiting to get a z77. If i got this board it still has plenty of features that i'd ever need and i can always put an ivy bridge in it? Yeah so what will i be missing out on, if i...
The ASrock extreme3 gen3 is quite cheap In NZ. It's also got PCI 3.0 support so it might be 'future proof' for an Ivy bridge but by the time i end up getting an ivy bridge setup it won't be for awhile. But I'd still like to have it there, Y'know?
Ok I only wanted PCI slots really to avoid having to buy an pci-e network card because i need to route my xbox through the PC. But by the time i get around to doing crossfire, I'll probably have another solution to the network. that $1000 isn't including monitor but I've been thinking about...
very informative, thanks. But should it be ok for running a single 6850? the 6850 requires a minimum 500w but in the average system only ends up to around 400w total ddraw? I'm sorry just trying to understand this stuff
Does the HDD speed really affect the performance like if i was playing a game?
but would it be sufficient to run two 6850's in Crossfire? I've read around and some people seem to think it'll be fine. If not what PSU would you suggest? and I agree with you, i need to find a bigger case
What do...
