Baldur's Gate and Badur's Gate II Enhanced Edition officially just announced

Boy I sure hope that doesn't translate as "consoles". A console version of BGII would murder the game.

Will starting into safe mode avoid these problems? Or could I use Link Shell Extension to do this and achieve safe results?

Baldur's Gate and Badur's Gate II Enhanced Edition officially just announced

I feel the same way. I'm gonna buy it no matter what. Playing through this epic bar-setting-for-the-genre game is something I'll be salivating over for however long it takes them to release it. I'm really hoping it doesn't take a couple years. This is the kind of thing that you'd like to see...

Baldur's Gate and Badur's Gate II Enhanced Edition officially just announced

Well I for one am truly excited about it. However I want to play the old version right now. I have the disc and everything but I can't play it because I lost my CD Key. I contacted them and they basically just told me "we don't have the key gens anymore" which really only means "as a service rep...

Baldur's Gate and Badur's Gate II Enhanced Edition officially just announced

Well worth saying that original contributors will be on the team. It should just be an HD remake of the same game. They're not talking about content change, but they haven't told us much so we'll just have to see. If they stick to the original game and just remake it, it'll be amazing. If they...

Baldur's Gate and Badur's Gate II Enhanced Edition officially just announced

Incase you don't visit the Baldur's Gate website with any frequency: Last week the website suddenly and inexplicably was altered to display nothing but a soundtrack clip from the series with the epic Baldurs Gate logo. Yesterday it was again altered to display a 24 hr count down timer...

Juct. Points for Prog. files to HDD: F8 for recovery console directs to UEFI?

Yeah. I spammed away many times. The one thing I could do was use F9 which brought me to a boot options screen to choose the OS to start which obviously didn't help because I only have windows 7 to install. The one other option on this screen was for a "memory test". Which I did for the heck...

Possibly the dumbest question, ever ...

Yup, green to any ground wire. To my understanding the only purpose of that green wire is to make sure that the PSU is plugged into the mobo. So connecting it to one of the black wires will create the loop and trick it into thinking it's plugged into the mobo.

Juct. Points for Prog. files to HDD: F8 for recovery console directs to UEFI?

Hmmm. I saw this message just as I was leaving for work and only had enough time to reboot into UEFI once and page through it really quickly. I didn't see anything that jumped out at indicating a way to disable the UEFI. Is there a different way to do this? I've been using a gaming laptop for...

Juct. Points for Prog. files to HDD: F8 for recovery console directs to UEFI?

I'm trying to create junction points for the Programs File on my Windows 7 system to move all programs off of SSD to HDD using the method described in this Tutorial by Tested.com This seems to be the most succinct and easy to understand method which (to me) appears to be safe. I decided to go...

Will the Gene-Z accept memory with native clocks above 1600?

Yeah, not too worried about them overheating really. It's as much for aesthetics as much as anything. Nothing wrong with doing something because it looks good, otherwise half the people in this forum might not be here. :D But not to use with this RAM block right? Cause that was my problem...

Will the Gene-Z accept memory with native clocks above 1600?

Wasn't planning on OCing RAM but wanted to leave myself some options. Watercooling the RAM is for my own enjoyment and because there's not great airflow in the SFF I'm building. Thanks.

Will the Gene-Z accept memory with native clocks above 1600?

Well my conundrum is this: I'm building my first watercooled system and I made a noob mistake of ordering an EK Dominator RAM block for a set of Low Profile Vengeance 4x4gb 1600 sticks. So now I can either return the 50 dollar water block and purchase a 100 dollar universal block plus restocking...

Will the Gene-Z accept memory with native clocks above 1600?

The Gene-z Board purports to allow for memories of 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333 My question is, do these stats found on newegg mean that you can OC a 1333 or a 1600 stick of ddr3 to as high as 2200 or does it imply that you can overclock the board to accept memory sticks of...

Who has an old WC system with no gunk problems and what are you running?

Where do you get your distilled water? Coolant manufacturers all seem to have their own brand of "super-ultra-mega-so-fucking-clean-your-eyes-will-catch-fire" sale pitch for their own brand of distilled/filtered Anyone just use regular old supermarket water? How about tap anyone tried that...

First Build, ever. (Need some part help/verification)

Honestly, I'd save yourself 190 buck by going with Windows 7 home premium. Unless you need 35 different languages there isn't really any functionality that you can't get for free or for much cheaper than buying Ultimate. If for some reason you have a giant library of XP programs you want to hang...

First mATX build, OC noob looking for hardware advice

Yeah, I've long wanted an entirely water cooled system, so this will be a lot of fun. I've drooled over the thought long enough :D and best I can figure it, I'm waiting another week for the case to arrive anyway and what's another 10 bucks on shipping for an exchange? Arguably as much of a waste...

So, ordered the parts. they arrived today. Unfortunately Danger Den only shipped out my case this afternoon :( so it's another week before arrival. In my boredom I decided to put on the two water blocks that I got in the mail onto the mobo. The MOSFET and RAM blocks Everything's going well...

Yeah wow, looks like everyone who's just using straight water with a little anti-microbial is smooth sailing. Wish a few more people who had a dye/coolant horror story had shared. Over all seems like a pretty decisive victory for plain water. lol well I guess you're right of course. Durrr...

    LAN parties in New England?

yeah I did come across PAX East now that you mention it. But it seemed like less of a dedicated LAN and more of a "drop off your shit while you attend PAX and play when you dont' have anything else to do". Maybe I'm wrong though. That was the impression I got. Eitherway I want to check it out...

Only two SATA III ports. So: daul HDDs in RAID0 or single SSD?

Ah. I didn't know that. So in fact, I wouldn't be losing any functionality anyway from putting the HDDs on SATA II. Nice. Got it. Thank you very much.

Only two SATA III ports. So: daul HDDs in RAID0 or single SSD?

So, I'm building a SFF system and intend to have one SSD and 2 HDDs in RAID0. Problem is I only have two SATA III connectors. Now I'd like to have the 2 HDDs in RAID0 but I can't get all three drives on SATA III. So I have to choose whether to put the SDD or the HDD on the SATA II connectors. Do...

    LAN parties in New England?

Yeah that's the problem though. Doesn't seem to be much out here. Haven't heard of anything and sleuthing the web comes up with stuff from 2-5 years ago or older. Not sure what it is. There were a bunch that used to happen. Have LANs secretly gone out of "style" or perhaps just popularity?

Did AMD "kill" their enthusiast crowd...???

well. I don't know about growing. I'm an AMD fanboi at heart but Intel is more bang for my buck. so it's painful but it had to be done basically. First mATX build, OC noob looking for hardware advice

Well, neither rad is going to be venting inside because it just doesn't seem to me to a good idea to blow hot air across the board. and since there are no other fan ports there's really not much air flow going across the board. That's the one problem with this plan. 9/10ths of the purpose of the...

Who has an old WC system with no gunk problems and what are you running?

Hey, looking to try to get a firmer grasp on the different points of view in the coolant controversies. If you've got a system you've had around for a while, I'm wondering what are you running? Seems there are a lot of strong supporters of distilled only. Is your system running a...
