God, even worse than the previous place I worked for!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'll keep this in mind for my next videos.
VPN wise, I've been moving everything out of any VPN setup to a more cloud native approach and zero trust network, leaning heavily on mobile device management...
Thanks for the feedback!
I wanted to keep the video under 20 minutes as I know how tutorials can be boring, I may do additional videos going deeper into each section of telephony like you mentioned, scalability and security.
Security is all down to how well the Office 365 tenant is managed...
Hi everyone, I just released a new video tutorial how to deploy Business Voice for Microsoft Teams, updating the video I made last year. It explains all steps involved to deploy telephony on top of Microsoft Teams, call routing, international phone numbers and so on. I hope it is useful for you...
I ended up going for the Focus GX, it seems it is a newer model from the Focus Plus. Not sure where I saw the information as I was reading until late Sunday, but the focus GX may be the same as the prime from a couple of years ago. The 850W is out opf stock everywhere so I pre ordered it from...
After I read a bit further about MSI and some or their sidgy practices against bad review about their products I gave up and went Seasonic. Pre ordered so by xmas I should get it delivered
Has anyone tried this power supply?

I could not find who makes it, and as 850W PSUs are difficult to find I was wondering if it is worth the shot
Hey guys,
My current rig has an enermax 500W PSU that after 12 years of service seems to be struggling to cope with my 2080ti under load. The video goes black and fans on the card spin at 100%, but the computer still works as the audio keeps playing.
Anyway I've been researching all weekend...
I use OBS studio for that anyway even in Windows. I use a green screen, then I get logos, my images, no jerky background AI removal stuff happening, and it works as I expect. It adds a tiny bit of delay, but it does a fantastic job.
Do you mean my video feed? I was still learning how to do things back then, too much to try at the same time. I tried looking at the camera in other videos, but I have shit memory when it comes to say what I have in mind without lots of gap filling words.
I'm testing this taping the action and...
If you are just comparing teams to another chat software and ignoring all other tools it has. Teams is not just chat, video or collaboration. It is a canvas to access information that otherwise would be in several different places.
Good luck using Skype to manage a project
if you are not interested, you are welcome to ignore the topic move on then and leave it for people that may find it useful. Same as what you would do in real life in a social situation.
It is not a lightweight application by any means, also consider how many different technologies it is pulling together. What would you suggest to use in place?
Microsoft just released the first version of Teams client for linux after so much demand and countless requests by the community. How does it stack up against the Windows version? Is it any good?
Hi everyone, I've created a tutorial how to get Teams working with Microsoft Phone system to make and receive regular phone calls, associate phone numbers and other basic procedures. I noticed no one so far has done a similar tutorial when I was looking to implement it a few months ago, so I...
I'm using 2x intel 520 480GB for a production server using one of those new H710 card from dell, don't remember exactly which LSI model it is, working alright so far
Use got another vertex2 faulty, returned, got another DOA, then I sent it back again, got an agility 3, very strange behaviour giving back CRC errors and all sort of shit. Returned, and now I'm talking to OCZ to get my money back.
Absolute joke! if you buy 4 OCZ SSDs, you know for sure at least...
Today I was deploying a server with 2x intel 520 in RAID and my boss, are you sure these SSD will work fine? I don't wanna pay £10k later because we lost something.
He lost his main workstation machine running on a vertex2 a couple of week ago, so now he is even a bit concerned about SSDs in...
OCZ?
Worst SSD I've ever seen, returned about 12 vertex2 so far, all of them dying with 12-18 months of use, the controller dies without warning.
I'm so pissed off, at least I've got all of them replaced, but I'm assuming they will fail agian in 12 months. Not even the old maxtor hdd used...
Hey guys,
I'm testing a new Dell server and I've installed 2x Intel 520 480GB disks in RAID1, ESXi 5.1 and a Windows 7 for benchmarking.
The PERC H700 has 512MB and battery, latest firmware. Read speeds are fine doing quick tests on crystaldiskmark as a virtual machine, write speeds...
I don't like the idea, you still need to power the disks and switch the PSU on, plus you need physical support for this card. For the budget and purpose, needs to be something more reliable so I would get a purpose built DAS box, not a JBOD. If it was for a home lab or something then it would be...
Hey guys,
I'm planning to test some stuff and as I'm quite happy with the Intel 520, reliable and quite fast I would like to put it to work in a different scenario. I've been using 520 and 330 for SSD caching (aka LSI cachecade) on LSI raid controllers like the Perc H700 and everything seems...
What about hot spares and resilvering? on freenas there is a problem with disk, you de attach a disk and it doesn't reflect this on the web gui, also doens't kick in the hot spare.
I never managed to get in hold of a 400h, all of them I have tried so far were 400i from factory since very early in the launch.
Anyway, I don't like the idea of blaming the drive for something like this as I've tried many SSDs and so far the only shitty sandforce I've got were OCZ. Not just...
I think the choice or making the software more commercial will increase the quality in the long term, especially to use freenas in the enterprise. I now very little about nas4free and I can be wrong about how good it is, but last time I tried freenas about 2 years ago it was quite crap. I tested...
