Do you have one? Can I ask how you would mount it?
I've searched around and haven't found any good pics on how it can be mounted - most pictures online have folks hide them but I want to try to figure out a clean solution.
Build Considerations, Case Quirks, Objective, and Design Rules.
When I was shopping in 2021, I noticed that unplated copper blocks were no longer available from anybody, and it was a struggle to get anything due to shortages. On top of that, only a handful of folks offered blocks for the...
Fast forward to summer 2021.
During the pandemic, I had become tired of my very slow computer as bluescreens started to become more regular, so it was time to upgrade. And it was a great time to cut open all of my water bits and take pictures to show everyone what 6 years of no maintenance...
Background
I purchased this tower off Ebay in 2014 in an move to downsize from an original Thermaltake Level 10. At the time I wanted to build in memory to Dangerden so I kept as many as my parts on theme as possible, and I wanted an inverted setup. So I mounted a DD Monsoon D5 Reservoir upside...
Dangerden Tower 21 Build
Hi pals, in attempts to defeat my executive dysfunction, I am starting a log. I purchased MOST of these parts in the middle of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and have been running this computer on air since, despite having water blocks and radiators laying around my...
Hey folks,
I'm at 99% in a build right now, and the only outstanding issue that I haven't solved is fan control.
I'm using 3 fans on a single dewire relay (only need 1 fan control), D5 Vario that doesnt need control. One temp sensor in the water. The way the system is set up right now, the...
Back for another bump from the grave. Still looking.
Also would be super down for CAD files, as I live near enough laser cutters to get this made for myself :)
Lots of people have tested this before you. You should do more reading before you commit.
You can start here. https://hardforum.com/threads/different-fans-either-side-of-radiator-disadvantages.1585700/#:~:text=Basically%2C%20air%20is%20being%20forced,burning%20out%20the%20motor%20sooner.
Its a cool idea, but it wont work like you think it will. Turbine effect will mean the stronger fan will do all the work, and the weaker fan will do nothing. You have to match your fans to see performance gains.
Just mount your fans in push or push/pull, and then run sufficient exhaust to get...
So, radiators tend to perform differently depending on fan type, speed, push vs push/pull, etc.
I've been using this roundup for years: https://www.xtremerigs.net/2015/02/11/radiator-round-2015/5/
The gist of it is, it shows you how each rad performs in watts, per fan speed and setup.
For a...
You are literally your own worst enemy. You still are failing to take responsibility for your behavior. Saying that he's "butthurt" over YOUR shit behavior is more evidence that you are the problem. This would be a non issue if you had any manners.
Came here to say TechN. Their AM4 block aims the inlet at the cores, so it performs slightly better than optimus and heatkiller. Only issue is you HAVE to run the water inlet from the bottom of the block, don't have an option to invert it.
Also the logo is a magnet, so you can take it off...
Figured this is the best place to post. I want another Dangerden case, and Moonlight mods have gone defunct.
Anybody have a tower26 or the equivalent Q or black edition case laying around?
I understand that nickel is plating over copper.
However, internet consensus and EK's own warranty states that putting silver in a loop with nickel will strip the plating. And they recommend using a coolant - not distilled water - for long life. Internet consensus supports this, as i've seen...
Hey folks, I have an idea here, tell me if i'm being to paranoid.
I currently have a Dangerden monsoon reservoir with a silver plug in it, and all copper blocks, running distilled water.
I'm looking at current production watercooling stuff, and most of it seems to be nickel and pure copper...
Nidec Gentle Typhoons or Noctua A12's
The GT's are super quiet for how fast they are, and the A12's are based on GT's but with a bunch of improvements like custom plastic, notched wings, etc.
Ball bearings FTW
BFG didn't go under due to their sweet warranty and support. They went under because Best Buy, which made for something like 80% of their sales just dropped them out of nowhere. They even said it themselves in an interview when it happened.
I have an odd issue thats been popping up. I've had my e5649 running solid at 3.8ghz for a few years, but over the past 12 months or so i cant overclock it all. I tried for a tiny overclock of 150 bclk and locking the core voltage at 1.25v, it corrupts windows when i try to boot. Takes a solid...
Hey friends,
I have myself a pickle here. I've been using masterkleer clear 7/16" ID 5/8 OD" tubing, friction fit over DD fatboy 1/2" barbs for years now and I want to rebuild.
Problem is that nobody carries this tubing in clear anymore. I want to use this tubing as its worked fantastically...
Nobody is laughing that they're recommending that you strap their expensive fan to an existing fan on the webpage for "efficiency"?
I'm dying. Oh god what a waste of time and money.
Preordered this badboy ages ago, immediately used the code to install the game.
The chest is still in the box with the stickers, art, metal case, bobblehead, everything in the original packaging. The only part that was actually opened was the game case itself and the disk removed. You can have...
I'm late to the party.
I have an e5649 on stock clock, R9-290 @ 1140mhz core (stock is 947), both under water with an alphacool nexxos UT-60 360mm with scythe-ap-15s and i run an average of 58C on the GPU. It mines 24/7, when the GPU goes above 60C, the room its in is SWEATY hot. Water...
Yes.
I'm using Monsoon MM-1000 speakers (lol vintage) and switching between my motherboard and my auzentech gives an audible difference.
The biggest difference however, is that the sound card produces higher volumes
Other changes include slightly less compression, slightly less background...
How does it perform temperature wise? I have a similar setup in a dangerden case with a single 290, 5649, and a single alphacool 360mm rad. I'm just probing whether or not a second card would be accessible to me with my rad.
Also, love the 40k chaos theme. Your paint skills and colour selection...
Scythe GT's are better in every way, on paper, and in real world testing. I was eyeballing the Triebwerks a year or so ago and asked SonDa5. He steered me clear.
