Here is mine wound up with a FE model. I would have much preferred an EVGA FTW3 or other with a reference board considering I will be water cooling eventually. I will be pairing this with in my X570 Taichi my recently acquired 3900X, 32GB RAM, Fractal Define 7 case and my EK custom loop two...
Will be trying to pick one up tomorrow and as much as I like the FE card I will try to skip it because of the wonky PCB and the proprietary power connector, so if I can't get an AIB card tomorrow then I will settle for the FE.
With a quadro cards I don't think there's a nvidia artificial limitation. GTX/RTX cards you have to use patch. I'm new Plex just getting ready to build a server.
I think that's actually about spot on.
Definitely won't be needing PCIe 4.0 storage support as I think 90% of users don't even need it. As for the CPU I was actually thinking 3900 might be too much CPU and if by chance I did upgrade it for whatever reason would be maybe to a second-hand 3950...
Yes, I understand the x470 is a chipset independent from VRMs. That was my bad what I meant to say is the Taichi x470 has a better VRM than the ASRock Pro 4 x570 according to a VRM chart I used as reference.
Link...
Well that's why I'm asking on the forum, from my understanding the x470 has better VRMs but mda makes a good point in his post then again with a 3900X I don't think I'll be upgrading this Unraid server running Windows VM anytime soon maybe just drives I don't know I'm really torn between the two.
Hey guys, looking for some onions on a decision I should make between 2 MB's will be running a 3900X (already purchased, but may downgrade if too much CPU) for Unraid and a Windows VM
Roughly same price, $120 X470 Taichi BNIB or $130 X570 Pro 4 just one week old, used maybe 30 hours so like...
Picked up a 9700K $100. BUT Only functions when RAM is in 2nd and 3rd slot so single channel RAM. (Delid gone wrong) I knew this info prior to purchasing, still think it's decent.
Eventually I'll be able to say good riddance Gamestop! On the other hand if they stay open with a few shops or close them all down it's a flea off a dogs' nuts to me!
Sorry, but at this point all I hear is blah blah blah in a blurred distance. The fact that GS is closing many stores and eventually all or most of them, tells the world and anyone remotely interested there's something very wrong about how they're conducting business.
"I can tell you though making 20% less is a lot to overcome."
It is, and I'm not a pro business man but if shop A is making $5,600 @50% margin in sales and shop B is doing $14,000 @30% in the same 56HR week seems like shop B might be at an advantage even with the bigger work load assuming both...
"GameStop is a business"
You say that as if GS doesn't give a shit about the customer.. I agree they are a business first, but do it without making people feel like wow I just got robbed w/o a pistol.
"All of your thoughts are centered on what is best for you"
You. AKA the consumer/customer...
You know back in the day when your only options were GameStop and eBay yeah it was probably more worth it just to let GameStop get your games for "convenience" but these days with so many local marketplace options I rarely list anything ebay. I list something it sells they meet me at the grocery...
It's a side-scrolling action stealth, That is amazingly fun and incredibly creative. Was originally released in 2011 on the Xbox and now I'm pretty sure it exists on PS4 Xbox One and PC and for $20 definitely seems worth pretty happy with it so far.
Couldn't help but to feel ripped off when I went there a few times to trade in games they would give you $20-$25 for your "used" game and then sell it "pre-owned" for $40-$55 so I just start selling my used games elsewhere and getting pretty much double what they were giving me. Not to mention...
On PC currently playing a little bit of destiny 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey just started that, Doom Eternal and on Switch currently playing Blood Stained ritual of the night and Mark of the Ninja remastered
My best deal 2020 so far! About 2 months ago I picked up a Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT (in the original box) sold as is. "Does not post" $125. It has been working like a champ in my SFF, 0 issues since purchase 😁 It is currently undervolted to 1060mv runs cool and quiet.
Yeah crazy good deals are far and few but you have to be consistent and look at least once or twice daily. Most people are asking way too much they're looking at eBay and basing their prices off of that but they forget that sales on eBay are insta 13% less money to the sellar because of PayPal...
McNasty part 2
MSI GTX 1070 TI Gaming X w/box
The fans had little dust and pet hair but the back plate had a sticky substance in multiple areas see pic. Removal of the back plate revealed that the PCB was super clean little bit of isopropyl alcohol and my x power blower 5 minutes later...
Definitely my best deal 2019 I've gotten deals before that we're so good it would have been a crime to post here LMAO. They were definitely head scratchers!
No smell, but looks a lot nastier in person then does in the pics.
Honestly did not ask why he was selling but originally the deal was...

2 Apple Cinema 30" displays for $50ea... That's a steal! (y) I remember when those launched, I wanted one for ever but I end up with an XHD 3000 (still have it, had to attach a HSF to the video board that was making all the probs for that monitor) :( but it was a good bit cheaper at the time.

Been running for almost a week @ rated speeds/timing no issues so far. Not my 'greatest' find but good I think.
I've tested, stress-tested, overclockead and gamed with over 100 hours so far in slightly over 30 days that I've owned my card no issues whatsoever thankfully. EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Black
