There is an option in crystaldiskinfo to switch to decimal.

It also displays the same thing in HDTune and CrystalMarkInfo.

I just got the m4 a few days, are the values for the re-allocated sector and re-allocated event count suppose to be this high?

Looks like a good deal if it was an intel ssd, but a-data, not too sure. Haven't exactly seen a lot of reviews for it, i would do some research and compare it to the other ssds on the market.

Probably won't happen for a long while. So far ssd prices haven't exactly been going down, but it may happen in 2-5 years time. Pricing for a 120gb ssd is about $200 CAD which isn't bad considering it would have cost a lot more in previous generations of ssd. SSD is definitely the better buy...

An intel ssd. Its scores above 7, with a regular hdd it will score like you mention 5.9.

I have the 970, its worth it especially if you use it for a lot of encoding work, photoshop, etc a lot faster than the 920/930/950 that I have owned in the past. I put a mild overclock of 4.0ghz with 24gb of Ram.

I would opt for LinX for absolute stability (although it might be overkill according to some posters), plus it finds errors a lot faster than prime 95.

Are you overclocking by any chance? Do memtest to see if the ram is stable.

Well, had initial problems with installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1, but it was probably due to me installing IE 9 (RTM) before installing SP1. Did a reimage and SP1 installed perfectly then install IE 9. I'm thankful I made that backup before installing IE 9 (RTM).

Looks like CPU is stable with the bump in vcore.

Yep, hoping to get cpu stable first, then working on getting memory at rated speed (as i know it will be a challenge with 24gb and a 4.0ghz cpu overclock).

Its not running at the rate 1600mhz, its actually below specs (close to 1333). Bumped up vcore and qpi, letting it run to see if it stable.

Well the i7 970 did drop in price. The Extreme editions of intel processors never seem to drop in price after another one is sent in it's place.

Try flashing to the latest bios, it might help.

Just because most ppl don't have any use for 6 core processors, doesn't mean all don't. Some ppl do, video editing, 3d studio, etc will see a benefit from 6 cores.

I dunno if you have tried, but a lot of ppl with the Deluxe V2 crossflashed to the Deluxe V1 bios. Maybe it would fix some of the issues.

Its still a nice chip regardless, plus they get one once a year, so maybe by next year he will get an i7.
