So I read it that you've never played a round of poker in your life?
A true fraud will make you think as if he/she is not a fraud. If a "fake" apology is all that's required to convince you that he or she is not a fraud, you are being defrauded. Just for a bigger fraud in the future. Now...
Yeah you've already been burned by many replies already so I am just going to say this.
You cannot copy an architecture like you'd copy your buddie's answers during a test.
It just doesn't work like that. Even if it were possible, there are things set up in the real world to prevent that...
Hey what have you got against Hyundais. They are doing awesome now. Have you seen their line-up recently?
I want a 980X too. My next build is going to be when the HD6xxx comes out. Perhaps there'll be cheaper 6 cores by then. If not, here I come 980X!!
But then taking your argument of "hardforum" and not "softforum" or "efficiencyforum" everyone in this forum should have nothing short of 2000w PSU with a six core i7 980x with a quad raided SSD and 12x delta fans at full blast with some crazy ass liquid helium cooling system, no? (I think i...
When I tested 4870 + 4890 crossfire it came out to be about 7% faster overall than when going 4870 + 4870. I tested COD4, Crysis, TF2, LFD and forgot another game. COD4 had the biggest difference and Crysis saw negligeable gain (read: no gain :p)
I don't know much about Trifire and can't...
I don't think they have "phsically disabled" the cores per se, but rather were unable to come up with a significant yield with 512 cores. Therefore they had to settle for less.
I mean, if there were 512 cores physically, why would they disable them? It's like putting money and effort into...
Hello all;
Currently I have my PS3 outputting video directly onto my monitor through HDMI and sound from PS3 "SCART" connection to my PC Auzentech Forte using the 3.5mm connector. It is then output from the soundcard to the headphone amp to my headphones.
My question is, is this the best...
Don't stone me for sidetracking here, but how do you find the input lag on the IPS screens? I still find myself hard to adjust to my 27inch PVA and i've put it off as a secondary now, because when I game on this I find the 2-3fps delay to be actually bothering me quite a bit, even on non-FPS...
I have a friend who once had a monkey, it's one of those small faced one with big eyes who are always pissed off.
One day he got a 2 litre pop bottle and put a peanut in it. The monkey looks at it, dips his hand into the bottle, grabs the peanut, but couldn't get his hand out of the bottle...
Intel officially stated that any temperature reading below 50 degrees Celcius is basically junk and inaccurate.
You should really be concerned with load temps and load temps only.
I have the eXact :) same setup Lachesis white and the exactmat. I actually had a problem previously with a steelseries cloth mat. The cursor would move by itself. After getting the exactmat the problem is solved. Make sure you update the firmware to the latest one as this tends to fix a lot of...
Hello,
My friend asked me if I knew anything about watercooling a server board.. He's got it a 1U rack and also has this server in his apartment. He says the noise is too unbearable and wants to change to water. I was a little skeptical at the idea of mixing server and water, but I told him...
I swear Valve made it official that HL2 EP3 will feature a new engine, almost in a scale to call it a game of its own. I think they said that HL2 EP3 can almost be called HL3.
I wouldn't be too concerned. Valve know their stuff. :)
You know what I meant. :p
The question isn't so much about is AMD able to have a match up line against the GF100 but rather how we as consumers would react this time around.
AMD have clearly shown us that an affordable GPU does not have to have a mediocre performance (a la 4850) and I...
With the current price point, I am leaning more towards GF100 than a 5870. But if 5870/5850 came down in price even ~$50 I would strongly consider getting a 5870/5850 again.
Or maybe work very closely with the developers, come up with a proprietary SDK that is much more modular, simpler and economical to work with than that of the nVidia's TWIMTBP, closely monitor and support game developers and come up with a DISABLE_ALL_3D_ACCEL_IF_NVIDIA flag or something =p...
If you read the triple buffering section carefully, you can realize how that eliminates the artificial "lag" caused by enabling the v-sync.
Whether the v-sync is enabled or not, 60Hz LCD displays are limited to drawing 60 frames per second maximum. It's not like if v-sync is disabled we get...
(if it were possible)
I don't think this is true as AMD crossfire does not scale down the fastest card to the slowest card.
For example, 4850+4870 > 4850CF
The only time this mattered is if one card had less VRAM than the other, in which case the total VRAM would be the lowest...
You are still missing the point, why would Intel even begin to design a GPU, whether socketable or not, or whatever idea you might hold in your head, when it DOES NOT need to??? I told you already, IMO Intel views the whole current "graphics market" as non-critical or just a waste of their time...
You got it wrong. Intel, rather than trying to compete at current rasterization phase they'd rather skip that and pave the way for Ray tracing something they believe is the way forward. They are also trying to integrate it into their chipset or CPU, rendering(pun?) a dedicated video card...
Hello all,
So i've learned yesterday in [H] that there are two types of mice, claw grip and palm grip.
I am a claw grip type and I've been using Logitech G5 with all the "weights" in the mouse. As a result, I've developed a good set of biceps on my right arm.
Anyway, I am going to shop...
That is far from the truth... And for those measuring the complexity of a chip based on the number of transistors... That's like saying OMG my P4 3.8GHz >>> your i5 2.66GHz!!!
It is true however that you are paying for the PCB, VRAM and everything else that comes with it (like a bigger...
275t+ does have high input lag. I can tell you from experience; I've got one. I've also heard that T240HD also has a high input lag. That leaves you with 2443 but I have no clue as to how it performs. 275t+ does have beautiful colours once calibrated though.
Granted that a single core is slower than 2/4 cores, we also have to realize that subsystem IO such has HDD has increased in speed too. Burning a CD 5 years ago and today are different as today the HDD are physically faster and better interface IDE --> SATA for example.
But yeah last 5...
Hi All,
I am wondering if using a Y-Splitter to connect both my 4850's from a single rail is a good idea. I've gone to Corsair website and it states there that the PSU will "intelligently" compensate for more load if a single rail draws more amps.
However, it does not specify the upper...
