Anyone get 16Gb of Corsair LPX -3200 RAM running on the Asus Z170i Pro Gaming MB with i7-6700k?

We could not get this MB to work with RAM in both memory slots, regardless of the speed of the memory. For the first 4 weeks or so I used one 8GB stick defaulting down to -2133 speed from it's rated -3200. I tried other RAM as well...NADA. I missed the Amazon return date to get a replacement...

Ok, I know the answer to this, but I'm hoping I'm wrong... I need to put a stick of ram in the open slot on my Asus Z170 MB. So, side fan bracket off first, then the 1080, and my Noctua HSF(C14)... will be in the way and I have to remove that as well to get the ram in? What a PITA.

Freaky thing happened today. Got a DAC a while back and decided to use it for better sound. Well, the power connector was a bit loose, and when I was booting the computer it came out a bit and I jiggled it back in, heard a 'click' and the comp shut off... and could not get it to turn on...OOPS...
