Me too, I’m really looking at the MSI B550 Mortar WiFi (Silver) and Mortar (Green) for new 3300x build. Never used micro ATX before i want to do one I think vs B550 Tomahawk since I don’t need the extra slots.

I have 2 sticks in dual channel: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual ChannelKit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK. Would I notice a huge difference if I picked up another set of these and run 4x2gb? The 2x4gb set is pretty expensive.

Never oc'd before. Really just want to take the stock to the "factory oc version": 860MHz / 1200MHz (4.8Gbps) to 1000MHz / 1200MHz (4.8Gbps) Which program is best to use? Also how do i overclock - just bump it to 1000 or go in small increments?

You are right - I think Skyrim is the most demanding game i'm playing now. (Too many Steam sales of older titles/indie games :) ) I liked the matched set of 8gb as well. Thanks for all the suggestions. Sapphire and HIS both look really nice.

(Maybe a stupid question but...) Could it be harmful (mobo, usb port or damage the drive itself) to a system to run usb powered devices? I see there are drives with ac adapters.
