I'm using an Achieva Shimian right now, but I'm considering a second for dual screen. Problem is I've got a MSI 7970 card on the way, and it doesn't have two DVI-D outputs...
I was running prime95 when it froze up. My power and restart buttons also stopped working...
And then my slim scythe fan atop my h50 radiator started to make this rattling sound nonstop even at idle. What happened??
Trying to remove the side panel screws with a small Phillips screwdriver. 3 came out easily, other 3 refuse to, and they're starting to show signs of stripping. What size screwdriver do I need for these????
I've seen examples done where people file the backplate into 4 small washers to mount the H50 on this mobo. I believe only one of the corners has a clearance issue. Would it be better to file around the one problematic corner or should all four corners be dealt with?
I'll be gaming on this PC about twice as often as I'll be watching movies, etc. I've got about $300 to spend on a monitor, and I'm not too well informed about them.
So here are the two I've narrowed it down to.
Samsung LED LCD 23" 2ms $290
Any big plus to LED? Seems like they use less...
Lian Li PC-Q08 $145
Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 $110
i7 870 $245
(I was originally looking to get an i5 760, but it seems like TigerDirect sold out)
XFX 5870 $340
4GB G Skill Ripjaws $100
160GB Intel X25-M SSD $360
(I have external 1TB hard drives for the big stuff... but I wouldn't mind...
