I have an e8400 and e6600
But I'm pretty sure the e6600 (which was the beast at the time) is the same socket
Both were working when pulled...
Wow that's weird...The link came from an email so I redacted the URL to remove the specific reference to my email...and it drirected to that "incorrect" version of the drive...

The only thing i REALLY HATE is every search that isn't a real function...like you type disj manager or something and it open/searches that via I.E.....uuugh
I just did the same thing with my HTPC.... years ago it was my gaming rig with a q9550 and a gtx 285 ($409.99 when I bought it and I gave it away here :) )...and the power supply went so I decided to swap out the human torch card for something more economical...I too chose the DDR5...
