For really cheap the Polk works. My Parents use one and they are happy with it.
The BIC is a good step up, and then the entry level internet direct options are your next step.
I got a good deal on a Power Sound Audio Sub that is extreme overkill but it is amazing. I still spent too much...
Yay, my NR 809 is covered. I replaced it back a few months ago when they would not do anything for me so I ordered a Denon. I have been able to use the analog on the 809 for a separate system, it would be nice to be able to use HDMI again.
The trade in program is a bit of a joke...
I went on a headphone buying spree as of late... beware they are addicting.
One set I would look at are the Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears. I got a pair as I found a good deal and seemed like a decent portable option... sadly my wife stole them. They are a great headphone though they are a...
I use the Wii for little games and don't spend a lot of time on it for solo game experiences but here are the games I enjoyed.
Super Mario Galaxy: I like that I can play a level and then quit.
New Super Mario Wii: Great with a spouse if you don't get aggravated easily.
Mario Kart Wii: It is...
We recently had two laptops returned to our stores were the people put HDD passwords on them though the BIOS. It has been a long time since I dealt with this issue, and is there anyway to blow these HDs out to be used again? I already just replaced the drives to get the computers done, but if...
I have all three consoles, and I have no idea why, but I have more games on the damn Wii than anything else. I want to pick up Muramasa and the new Metriod Trilogy, but they will have to wait till I finish Batman:AA. Most all of the Nintendo games are good, I also like House of the Dead...
I almost got the LED Samsung 61 when I got my 52 Sony LCD. What killed it for me was viewing angle. We have seating just enough off the side for it to not work well for us. If I didn't have that issue I would get a DLP in a heartbeat. When we move into a house if I have room I plan to get a...
I actually got a Wii this last Christmas. I will say I play it as much as I do the 360 or PS3. I enjoy Mario Kart and Super Mario Galaxy though, as well as the on rails shooters.
My SO got Wii Fit and EA active and doesn't use them very much, though EA active held her interest a lot more...
I have my surrounds sitting next to the wall pointing up it right behind the couch, it sounds fine I had to adjust them a bit but it works. Our room layout is just such that there is no good place for the surrounds to go.
On the 6100 you may want to find out if its possible to use other speakers than the ones it comes with. I am sure it will be a good setup, but make sure you can upgrade it unless you will be happy with it in the long run.
A good quick and dirty way to tell if a receiver actually handles audio from an hdmi source is to see if it supports DTS-HD or TrueHD. A cheaper receiver that work well for most is the Harmon AVR-254 which can be had refurb on ebay for about 220. I tried one and didn't like the fact it video...
