Hey I am wondering what GPU to get. I need render to vertex arrays and/or vertex shader texture reads (I know the 6800 can do the latter). I think the x850 doesnt have shader model 3.0 (right?) but if it could do either of the other things then it would be good enough. I dont really care...

thanks guys. defcom_1, the method you describe is what i applied to the regular 4 pin molex plugs...but for my mobo plug i dont have a screwdriver small enough, and i don't see metal clips either.

I am sleeving my PSU, and have done all the power lines except the main mobo connector. I am wondering how i can remove all the pins from the plug, and subsequently how i can reassemble it. Thanks, Rob.

if i put a stick of ddr26 in a system that is using 133mhz sdr with a p3 celly...will it work...i dont even know if it will fit the socket i didnt try yet. Thanks.

I have a stock ATI made 9800xt and am wondering what would be the easiest way to cool it effectively. I am not using water cooling, but my case has good airflow, i was contemplating apoxying more heatsinks to it, but i dont know how good that would be...any suggestions?

Hell yeah, the gun you get in the last map is the one redeeming feature of that game. The ending cutscene lacked Tosc and thus sucked.

From unreal the best weapons are the biorifle and the singularity cannon from U2 (that gun was the only good thing in that whole game besides the graphics), and also the ion painter. Otherwise TMP is the best gun ever, its the only one worth using in CS, unless you like to shoot from more...

Hello, I have a 9800xt and have found that it idles at about 38-39 C, and under load reaches ~49 C (temperature seems to increase fairly linearly with time, but at so low a rate that it would take ages to get very high). I am running the card at stock speeds, and it is in a Xaser2 5000...

i put my temperature sensor under the heat spreader opposite the GPU in my radeon 9800xt. It seems to be around 38c idle and 42 under a load, is this decent?

Greetings, I have this thing in my case, and until i have the cash to fork out for a better looking temperature display, i will be forced to use it. Can somebody tell me a good way to hook the sensor up so that I can read the temperature of my CPU (is there something better than just...
