On the topic of Noctua fan colors...
Or, you know, don't have windows in your cases and stuff it out of the way so you have more desk space. One of the great things about the M1 (aside from great looks) is how much flexibility you have on placement. Mine currently sits behind a monitor...
Guess it's not bad than the old EK block... the RayStorm looks better with each review. Price performance king right there.
Speaking of which, any plans to review the updated EK block?
I'm thinking it's the small fin area that's preventing it from outperforming the RayStorm outright. I know the EK kit to direct mount makes a notable difference in temps, and that's using the same exact block you'd normally use, so all things being equal, must be the fin arrangement.
I know a few people here are running the EK Strix z270 monoblock. According to the EK rep at overclock.net, the monoblock fits the Strix z370 as well, with a small caveat.

So... yeah...
z370 strix is tempting since it looks like the monoblock for the z270 is compatible. Waiting on confirmation of that before I make any decisions... Then my z270 strix would replace my wife's z170 itx board in the Caselabs. Trickle down upgrades!
One meeeeeeeeeeeellion dollars!
TG is spendy, thicker, and harder to work with IIRC. I believe a polycarbonate pane was being looked at for other projects, which would be a good compromise between TG and acrylic. If I were going with a glass side panel, I'd likely prefer a sandwiched poly over...
Id actually like to see the motherboard moved down several inches, so it's more centered in the case. Then you could install a rad at either end. I think that's where this design falls short. I want to say there's another slim tower that allows this... maybe the Silverstone? I'd think cooling...
With the GPU temps that low, and the CPU that high, definitely sounds like either a seating issue, or a thermal paste issue... might have an air bubble in the paste. Getting good temps for both components in the M1 is difficult, but it's odd to see great and poor, usually they 'equalize' a bit...
In my experience, you have to have fan spin up and fan spin down times other than 0. If both are set to 0, the fan doesn't spin at all. It's an oddity with the ASUS software. If you're not using the ASUS software, the BIOS settings will let you do that though, IIRC.
