Mounting process is fine. The included instructions are not the best but just sitting down with the parts for a minute or two before trying to put it on your mobo makes it easy.

Honestly, I would keep complaining. Call and complain through the regular channel, then ask for a supervisor, and ask them for a corporate phone number/email address so you can file a complaint on how they aren't fixing the product under warranty, the time and effort wasted/spend chasing them, etc.
My 860 at 3.5GHz (160x22) with 212+ and an hour of prime95 would peak at 73/69/68/72. At 3.7GHz it would hit 78-82 with an hour of prime95.
I couldn't get 3.7GHz rock solid yet so I run 3.5.
What? Intel stock cooling is LOUDER than aftermarket solutions with a 120mm volt controlled fan. I didn't plan on OCing my 860 so quickly but the damn stock fan was so loud I went out and got one. Much much quieter now. Damn 4890 is the noise maker now.
