I see that the new 5800x3d price has jumped up in places to about $600.00 already. I guess because they get snapped up as fast as they appear.

Right now I am gaming at 1080. I have a 1440 monitor and was thinking about using it again . The reason I am using 1080 is my eye sight isn't what it use to be so I went to 1080 to better to see my desk top icons and the letters beneath them. I play all kinds of games shooters, sims and more...

So does it make sense if you already have an AMD 5800x to go with a AMD 5800x3d or keep the AMD 5800x? I mostly game. My GPU is a RTX 2070 super.

Is there a place to find or get Windows 98 drivers for this motherboard? I am not having much luck locating what I am looking for. Maybe there is no such drivers to get.

I watched the whole video and I see it's told me to hold on to my current cpu and maybe see if I can up my memory from the 2400 Mhz to the DDR 4 3000Mhz. The i7 7700k seem to like it.

Thanks it is sometimes hard to decide especially when new stuff comes out. I'll wait until Rysen becomes more compatible with slower memory.

Would it be worth it to go from a i7 7700k to an i5 8600k? My pc is purely a gaming pc I would like to try a Rysen but my current ram doesn't appear it would be fast enough. My ram is DDR 4 2400. I would probably have to buy DDR 4 3200 which I think is way to expensive for the AMD cpu to work...

I did buy them in pairs and you are right one pair is single ranked and the other pair is dual ranked. Thanks for your help. I learned something today. Memtest found no errors.

How could I figure out which one may be bad? I tested both and both had the same results. If memory weren't so expensive I'd buy another set and try them out with the set that's runs in dual channel mode. I also have to reset my xmp every time I switch modules.

I did do a check. When I did that with CPU-z one memory stick in slot one said it was running in dual mode and the other memory stick in slot three said it was running in single mode. They do the same in slots two and four. I think it may be the two memory modules that keep running in single...

I took out the memory sticks that where running in single mode and moved the memory sticks that where running in dual mode to the slots that the single mode sticks where in and they are running in dual mode. I then installed the single mode sticks in the other two slots and they are still...
