ACER PREDATOR CG437K monitor, better than ASUS?

Why wait for Intel? At 4K just go AMD and save money. There will be ZERO benefit to going Intel at that resolution.

In Search of Crisp Fonts [UW 32"] [Quadro 1000M 2560x1440]

PPI has nothing to do with resolution... well, it does, but it's dictated by SCREEN SIZE primarily. A 27" 2560x1440 and 34" 3440x1440 will have identical PPI. You just get more pixels. 32" at 2560x1440 doesn't look crisp at all. If that's the max resolution your laptop can support, get a 27"...

    LG 48CX

It is ridiculously priced, Acer already announced their X32 will be $3,599. I'm sure it will be a decent monitor, but the pricing here is just beyond Insane. When you realise this would buy TWO 48" OLEDs, with enough money left over for a top end 144Hz 1440p monitor, it's absolutely laughable...

    Gaming Monitor for Business Use?

VA is pretty yucky given the colour shift. It's not even about accuracy, as you see very visible colour shift even when looking at your web browser. It's not a problem for games, but then you can have other issues there, smearing and such. VA can be a horrid experience for some people, but it...

    My New Monitor, 2020 LG OLED 48" - Gsync 120hz @ 4K 4:4:4 / Film Maker Mode / Google Assistant Voice Control

One link... I went back and checked. You said links. Disappointing. And what "stuff"? That's vague. Can you specify what stuff? Again disappointing. Also, all of this has been posted before, given it's all from January. Even more disappointing. I give your post 3 out of 10. I didn't like it so much.

Thoughts on how bad the monitor market will be effected by the pandemic ?

I think you missed the sarcasm lol.

Thoughts on how bad the monitor market will be effected by the pandemic ?

I think we will start to see monitors with severe BLB, glow, smearing/black crush, dirt/dust under the panels, poor/non-existent HDR implementation, and ever increasing prices despite all of the above... oh, wait a minute...

    Looking for LG 43UN700-B reviews/info

Eh? Acer have one, and Asus have two... VA panels, but they are a premium product and generated a lot of buzz and excitement until people realised they were overpriced TV's with many issues that made them unsuitable as all round monitors. Because at this size, you aren't going to be able to fit...

    Looking for LG 43UN700-B reviews/info

Shame they completely ignored Freesync on these. Nothing with IPS at this size which has it sadly (the 43UD79 doesn't count), so they could have had quite a unique product then.

Recommended 4K monitor for photo editing under $1000

You won't find 16:10 these days. You also definitely want IPS for photo work. If you want Freesync for occasional gaming, there are a couple of solid LG 32" 4K options, 32UD99 and 32UL950 at the top of your budget. If gaming is of no interest, you could look at the Dell U3219Q, BenQ PD3200U or...

Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ with 43.4″ VA Panel, 4K Resolution and 144Hz Using DSC

There was never any doubt it would be the same. Panelook indicates it's just a new iteration with a brighter backlight. It still puzzles me with they even bothered with the XG438Q and didn't just go straight in with this model at a lower price point. I can see plenty being suckered in by it thought.

Wait for HDMI 2.1 TV or get Dell 34" now?

Yes I have spent much time tinkering with ClearType settings. I have always been at 32" 4K, so yes, superior PPI vs 43", but I have adjusted for that with seating distance. The difference I see is more significant than this would explain. I think it will mostly come down to the panels in...

Wait for HDMI 2.1 TV or get Dell 34" now?

Only the problem has existed for years and it hasn't been fixed. If it's that simple, why hasn't it been? In addition to the Asus and Acer, the 43" Philips monitors (there are a couple), the LG 43UD79, another couple of Acer ones... I've tried them all, plus a few TV's. Your Z43 is actually...

Wait for HDMI 2.1 TV or get Dell 34" now?

Whether it makes sense or not, it's quite apparent that the majority of BGR panels are reported as having issues with text reproduction. I've experienced this myself on the 4-5 BGR monitors I've tried, and there are countless comments in numerous forums speaking of the same. It's somewhat...

Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ with 43.4″ VA Panel, 4K Resolution and 144Hz Using DSC

Well it's a different panel tech entirely, with these new 43" monitors all being VA. The Z43 is IPS. So is the LG 43UD79 though, but I've seen people complain about text on that monitor too. You are the only person I've seen actually talk directly about text on the Z43. There's no VRR on your...
