Yet anohter cry for specs help

Here's what i'm looking at. First time with this particular shuttle so i wanted some opinions:

shuttle sn85g4v2
amd64 3200+
Corsair Twinx1024 3200c2pt 1gb ddr400
IBM Hitachi Deskstar 120gb
Liteon 52x burner (black)
6800 GT

Should this be alright? This is a sff "doom 3" box for a friend.. thinking this will get him in there at 1280x1024 with good results.

The short answer is yes, the long answer is that we don't know exactly what setup will do what resolution yet. We have to wait for benchmarks for that which aren't out yet. On paper, it looks good with the only possible limiting factors that you can improve on being processor and memory.

Looks good but 2 things stick out.


1. Why get the IBM Hdd? I would either go with a more reliable WD, or a more quiet Samsung/Seagate etc.

2. Spend an extra $10 to get a Combo Drive, or an extra $40 to get a dvd burner.
