x800 xt pe memory differences?

I am a little bit confused about the memory in the x800 xts. The ATI site as well as most other sellers such as asus and sapphire list them as having GDDR3 memory (the new memory that is supposed to be on the cards). The HIS cards have plain DDR listed on www.hisdigital.com and I have seen a few auctions on eBay (including the one I am shooting for now) that have it listed as plain DDR. Is this all a misconception/typo or do not all x800 xts come in the same flavor?

If the HIS cards actually do have plain DDR that would be interesting considering they performed just like the Built By ATIs did on tomshardware.

The Ebay auction probably had a typo, HIS may have a typo everyone makes mistakes..
