Would a voodoo3 3000 agp be ok?

I have a Voodoo3 3000 AGP lying around, but it doesn't have TV out.... but I also plan to get a PVR-350 (use its tv out), and use mythtv. Would it make sense to use it for this? I won't be doing 3D anything, and I'm pretty sure 3dfx cards are covered pretty well when it comes to linux drivers.

What would be the down side to this?

Well a GF2 and a 7000 series cards can be used so I guess so.
