I was just surfing through ebay aad saw an X800 xt by ATI that said platinum edition on the box instead of just saying xt. This card also came with a bonus pack. Here is the link to the item. I ordered an x800 xt about 3 weeks ago from CDW and the X800 They had at their site didn't have platinum edition in big letters on the box.

hmmmm, lets see....two boxes means TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF VIDEO CARDS.

There is the x800xt and the x800xtpe. The pe has 20mz more on the core clock. Why dont you check out the manufactuers website before spending a lot of money. www.ati.com

So dont treat him Like he is stupid because, you were wrong

AGP bus configuration (8X/4X/Universal AGP 3.0):
RADEON X800 PRO and
RADEON X800 XT PLATINUM EDITION

Right from ATIs site

Dont see a XT here http://apps.ati.com/ATIcompare/

It shows it here http://ati.com/products/radeonx800/radeonx800series/index.html

But they are selling AGP XT cards now arent they

The PE is the "oh shit the 6800 Ultra is fast" edition. NVIDIA countered with the Ultra Extreme.

Where AGP video cards are concerned, there is no such thing as a non-Platinum Edition (PE) version of the X800XT. All X800XT AGP video cards are the PE editions with the high clock speeds.

The non-PE edition will only be released for the PCI-E versions of the X800XT.

H

One is part#100-435214, at several loactions(the one with the tee-shirt, and the other #100-435210, is your standard retail version of the XT PE. BestBuy, CompUSA,and Gateway all reffer to these numbers.
