Hello all,

I have Fedora Core 2 installed on my pc that is on 24/7 so far and seems stable as heck.
I want to know how I can turn my Fedora Core 2 system in to a web server?

I have my own registered domain carlwill.com and that always resolves to my ISP provided IP no matter how many times that changes per day - so its basically static.

I just dont know how I can host my pictures / MP3's / videos / and a small web blog/page from that Linux box.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am not a web html guy by any means so I not sure if this is something I can do...

Actually running a server is easy. Apache is the software you're most likely to use, and it's probably already installed or very close at hand.

You'll have to forward port 80 to your machine if you're using some sort of firewall, etc. Beyond that, it's just minor config.

Google will help lots. Apache.org will also help lots. Don't expect to be hand-held; there's tons of resources on the web for this exact thing.

Thanks, I will check google.com but sometimes there are bugs and issues that people encounter so its always best to ask... :D
