Tell me if I have this right

the specs look good, but as far as i know Powmax doesn't make very good PSUs.

i'd check out Sparkle. they're made by Fortron, but can be had for a bit less money.
 
widely considered one of the worst manufacturers of PSUs
(after Deer) and the specs cant be trusted, I too would recommend a Fortron for the "value" category ;)
 
I would stay away from powmax. I would also go with Ice Czar's reccomendation of Fortron. IF you can spare $75 bucks shipped, you can get the 2nd best psu of all, the fortron 530 watt. If not, the Fortron 350 watt will far outperform generic, powmax, and deer 500+ watters.
