My network setup es quite simple. Cablemodem, a Linksys BEFSR41 and 6 computers all over the house (i'm using a switch too).
I can surf the web without any problem, as well as gaming, p2p, etc. I can download files from http sites. The point is... when i click on an ftp link on a web page... when IE try to download the file... the download speed is (with luck) of 10kb/s o less.
When I copy the link and paste it on any FTP client... i have normal download speeds. This behavior is the same on all the computers on the network. Anyone have a clue about this?.
May be a lot of u are thinking on Download Managers. Thats right, i have a Download Manager installed where i need it... but... i'm really confused about IE having suck poor performance with FTP downloads.
