i knwo its the next generation of intel Processors. but whats so special about it?


is it a mainstream 64-bit thing or something?

lets see new things that prescott core brings:

.09 micron manufacturing process - currently at .13
1024 KB L2 cache - currently at 512KB
increased L1 cache as well
new prescott specfic instructions (think SSE3)
improved hyperthreading

probally forgot some things but thats the major points of the new core
