Need help with cdrw (liteon)

Hey guys,

Just did a full reformat and I used my liteon 52x cdrw to install everything, it showed up on my computer when i first started the computer so I know the drive and the ide cables are fine. but now that i'm trying to install all of my prog's it doesn't show my burner in my computer and also when I put a disc into it, the drive doesn't react. I tried to find my software that came with it but I was unable to and when I goto the liteon site and try to download drivers it says: see remarks, use microsoft default or something of that nature. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what happened was when you installed the burning software, windows had a registry error which caused your CD-rom drives to stop being recognized, if you look at your device manager you should be getting error code 19 or something like that. Try following the link below, and it should fix the problem. It worked for me.

Thanks for the help, but sortly after posting I installed my mobo drivers and bang there it was :)
