I'm trying to test my RAM through memtest 3.1. I tried the bootable CD, I tried the bootable floppy. But niether of them will boot!

I put in the CD - yes I changed CDROM to first boot device - and it says Boot From CD then immediately goes to "NTLDR is missing Ctrl+alt+del to restart"

I put in the floppy -changed that to first boot device as well - and it tells me to "Remove disks or other media."

What am I doing wrong here? I think I'm copying the files right. I even tried just burning the ISO file and then tried burning the contents of the BOOT folder that was inside the ISO. And for the floppy I just burned all Four files - install.bat, memtestp.bin, rawrite.exe, and the readme.

how do you guys burn this stuff to work?

Go through the process of how you burned it to a CD and let us know which program you used.

For the floppy.
Put a blank floppy disk in your drive.
Open the folder you unzipped Memtest to.
Double click on the Install.bat.
Tell it which drive your floppy is in.
It will then install Memtest86 on to the floppy.
When its installed Windozes will not be able to read the floppy.

Luck........ :D
