logitech z-560 4.1 vs z-5300 5.1

if you trying to decide between the 560 and 5300 then no the 640 dont come into play. Unless you want a 25w sub compared to a 188w sub. I owned the 640 and just bought the 560's. The difference in sound is INCREDIBLE. The bass is so powerful it knocked the pictures off my wall. I still cant belive the sub.

If you really want 5.1 then go with the 5300. I went with the 560s cause I wanted power/performance. I dont know about the 5300 sub, but the 560 sub is sick.

I didnt even notice my missing center channel from the 640's =)
 
I have the 640s now and they're pretty meh. Not terrible, but not anything to get all excited about either (except maybe the price, 60$ is all good). If you do more movie watching, the 5300s may be better as they'll give you true 5.1 surround. If its more for gaming and music the 560s would probably suit you better. They are better quality speakers and for games & music you don't really need a center channel. Both are quite nice though.
