Length of DisplayPort Cable 1.4

I bought this DisplayPort Cable (1.4) but in 6.6 ft because I read that the shorter the cable the better.

But it's barely long enough and I am redoing my PC setup and would like to place my PC even further to keep the noise down. How long of a cable can I really go with from the one I listed? 15, 20, 25 feet?

10 feet is really about the limit without fiber or an active cable.

I have successfully used a 15 ft displayport cable without issue, 1440P 165 hz.

I am currently using some heavy-duty 12ft DP cables on both of my work monitors at the same resolutions, mainly because the host machine (a big EATX tower) is off to one side, behind me, to keep the noise down so I can concentrate on my work
