Laptop Monitor woes

I keep having sudden shutdowns of my laptop screen, at any moment, and for no reason I can figure. I think the computer still functions in the background, but can't see anything.
When I shutdown down, and turn it back on, I receive this message

I don't know why it shows 3 default monitors. Could that be the problem?
