Keeps On Restarting!!

every time i open AOL my computer restarts itself, after the restart a message pops out and saids "windows has just recovered from a serious error" and it saids theres something wrong about windows and some internet protocal, im using windows XP pro, this has happened before but back then i formated windows and it worked fine but now even after reformating its still the same...what the hell is going on?

is it my modem?, or my harddrive??

Try this..

Right click on my computer and goto properties then Advanced>Under Startup and Recovery, goto Settings>Under System Failure uncheck Automatically Restart.

This will give you a blue screen of death when the error occurs which will be a little more informative to help you find a solution.

step 1.) hit the 'edit' button

step 2.) you have two variables (modem and hard drive). take one out, and see how the system works. then remove the other, etc. just play around a little
