How do I change LED on Fanbus?

I have a sunbeam fanbus. How can I change the blue leds to white and have it display no leds at 7v. Currently they're blue 7-12v and red under 7v until I turn the fan off. I want to do a white theme, apple style :D
 
put the white led anode pin to the blue anode connector? the middle pins are cathode (or is it anode??)

Not sure, I don't really want to take it apart without knowing anything about it, thats why I asked first :eek:
 
the LED should be simple enough to replace. remove the stock LED and pop in the new one. no soldering required
 
The LEDs you take out will have 3 leads- one is ground and always connected, the other two each get power depending on the color. When you put a new white one in, just experiment to see which leads are which. In your case, you want them to be just on the 7v and up lead. That should work, let us know.
