I'm buying 19" LCD Monitors for an office; I'm the assistant sys admin. I've been doing some research and below are the monitors I thought were attractive both in price and performance. All the desktops that we currently have use analog VGA video cards so I can't use DVI monitors without adapters which I don't really want to do. What do you guys think about the following monitors? Is there an LCD out there that you think is better then all of these?

Viewsonic VG800 18" 1280x1024 250 nits 500:1 25ms $505.00+

Viewsonic VG900 19" 1280x1024 250 nits 600:1 25ms $614.64+

NEC MultiSync 1920NX 19" 1280x1024 250 nits 500:1 25ms $694.39+

Dell UltraSharp 1901FP 19" 1280x1024 250 nits 600:1 ? $679.00+

HP L1925 19" 1280x1024 250 nits 500:1 ? $699.00+

D) None of the above.

Go for the Dell 2001. On sale for $750 and worth the little extra cash since one of your options is $699.

The 2001fp after taxes will be a bit higher, considering where you live.

In NY, it's $860.

so $699 compared to $860 is a pretty big difference.

If you have the extra cash go for 2001fp.

25ms NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I was in your shoes a short while ago and ended up buying the Dell 2001 FP for 750. Glad I did, 1600x1200 at 16ms does it for me. I consider a monitor a long term investment, its what your going to be staring at for years, meanwhile your PC evolves through upgrades. The only upgrade to your monitor is replacement so it better be good. Happy shopping no matter what you get, hey at least your getting an LCD. You could get a sweet 22 inch CRT at those prices though.
