Help me with internet explorer...

You might try Running a Repair on IE.

Control Panels > add/remove Programs > click on the add/remove windows components button > click on Internet Explorer (making sure to leave the check mark) > click Next > it will then run what looks like an installation > click Finish


If that dont work. Might be Spyware. Id Run Adaware or Spybot Search and Destroy. Both can be found on www.download.com

What's the question? Is it that an icon shows up in the address bar or that the icon isn't one that you want? Is the complaint specifically about hardforum or all addresses?
 
No, its all addys, and its supposed to be an e like internet explorer icon..
 
Have you checked out Tools>Folder Options>File Types and see what icon you have for HTML Document? Might just need to reset that, or clear the icon cache. TweakUI will repair the icon cache for you too.

Look at the 3rd section entitled WinXP - Fixing Broken URL file association for IE6. There are two possible fixes described. The second fix is the one suggested by Aioka. The first fix is similar to the one suggested by waldog, but instead of the HTML or Internet Explorer association, look for the URL association.
