Hi, I work at a local comp tech shop and I sold this guy a fx5600 for his desktop. I also installed directX 9.0b on it since it was going to use a dx9.0 card. So i checked the dxdiag program and it is showing

DirectDraw Acceleration: Not Available
Direct3d Acceleration: Not Available
AGP texture Acceleration: Not Available

the buttons to enable them are greyed out. I have tried 3 different versions of the nvidia drivers and have reinstalled directX many times. Do you guys know of any other things. Graphics acceleration is set to full on the computer also.

Win98 is the OS windows is fully updated

As Brent said, mobo chipset drivers.
Uninstall and reinstall your video card drivers.
If you still have his old card, try it. Could be a problem with DX on his system.
For Windows 9x, there is a utility to uninstall DX. Google for directx uninstaller.

ok, so what

go download the latest mobo chipset drivers, install them, re-install DX, then re-install Vid Card Drivers

have you tried the old card yet?
It sounds like a DX software issue, if the old card doesn't work, we have verification. If it does, its still inconclusive as DX could have an issue with the current config with the 5200.
