G1 Problem

I had a few tense moments tongiht when I applied some microsoft updates to my laptop on to have it lock on the bios screen with the reboot.

After playing with it a bit, I found it wont go past bios with the G1 plugged into the USB port.

If its on when I plug it in no problems.

Anyone else have any issues like this?
 
sounds like your pc doesn't like trying to mount the sd card while it's booting. i think this is more of a windows issue than a G1 issue.
 
maybe your boot sequence has "USB disk" before disk 0 or whatever your pri hard drive is called... I wouldn't fret about that.. it's an issue with the pc not liking that device plugged in at boot (possible because of the boot order?) and not the g1.
 
Im gonna agree with revenant, it sounds like your comp is trying to boot off the G1 and not finding anything so it just stops. Check your boot sequence.
 
I cheked the bios, not set to boot from external. It locks up before the BIOS anyways.

Easy enough to unplug the phone to reboot. I have read about other USB devices doing wierd things too.
