Did you read all the fine print? It may be an XT, but it only has 128mb of memory ;)

Whoops! Sorry about the previous post. Now where did I get the idea that the 9600 XT had 256mb of ram??

Most 9600XT's are 128

Anything above 128 is wasted on these midrange cards anyway, and the 256M modles could even behave slower because of the cheeper ram used in manufacturing. read about it here.
 
I got the GeXcube 9600XT for $159 like 3 weeks ago. Its clocked at 325Mhz on the ram, and not the standard 300Mhz. That Gigabyte comes with 3 games though, mine just with one.

Iconz1, it does not come with the HL2 coupon.

The ATI/Asus video cards are pictures of the 9800XT not the 9600XT like what is mentioned.

256MB DDR @ 600MHz 9600XT for $183 versus
128MB DDR @ 650MHz 9600XT for $158 with identical core clock.

The latter is preferable.
 
256mb is really only making sense these days in Radeon land on the 9800 pro and XT cards.
 
neithers a $185 for a card you have got to void your warranty(i.e bios flash) just to get abit better performance than a 9600xt:p

Actually for $76.00 more dollars...and that aint as good of a deal $ per frame.

obs i will swallow my pride when nvidia ever finally makes a card thats worth buying again lmao.
Last time i looked at the benchies when 4AA and 16AF was enabled at 1280x1024 it wasnt a thrashing at all! um excuse me it was im sorry the 9800pro was handing it its own arse lmao:p
