I'm thinking about installing Mandrake for my first linux install and I keep hearing the word dual boot. I was wondering if I need a program to do that. If I don't dual boot can I still boot windows normally and boot linux whenever? Sorry, I'm a noob at this so any help is appreciated.

Mandrake's installer will provide for dual-boot capability. Just don't delete your Windows partition and you'll be fine.

The installer makes it pretty easy, but, back up anythiing important. Just in case.

I installed it and the dual boot works great but I can't seem to get makdrke run like in the screens at their site. I get a dos like program. There is also like 5 other choices when boot loader loads. Any sugestions?
