I absolutely love my cordless trackman wheel mouse for my HTPC. no more having to use my chest or the arm of the couch or a pillow to use a mouse on. it's hands down super convenient. trouble is, the receiver is a piece of gobshite. the mouse will not work if it's outside a 3 foot parameter. the receiver is RF (confirmed by the logitech tech support dept) which means it should work up to 3 meters not 3 feet. does anyone have an idea of increasing the voltage to this bastard to increase the strength of the signal? i'm willing to open it up take a usb cable and snip the data parts and use strictly the power leads to increase (making a dual usb plug in) if it means i can mount this thing on my ceiling and use the mouse anywhere in the living room.
