Having problems pinging my main PC at work which is why I think I'm not able to log into this computer remotley with XP's remote built in capability. I have tried the following and wondering if there are any other troubleshooting steps I could try.

1. Change DHCP to Static IP
2. Renew and Release IPs and still get the one.
3. Uninstall and reinstall Network Adapater.
4. Tracert - and it stops at vlan311.turner.com(157.166.141.2) which is the firewall ( I think) but resolves via DNS.
5. Ping Loopback - Network card seems to be ok.
6. Changed network cables to another data jack.

Should I completely unistall TCP/IP and reinstall or will I have to go as far as dropping another image on it?

Im also not able to ping the computer from any other computer inside the network

You've said the key word yourself in #4.... Firewall.

More than likely they've disabled ICMP from entering the network from outside it. That would also explain why you cannot connect to it remotely (its blocked).

If you have a valid reason to remotely access your machine, your best bet is to work with the network admins and see what they can do to help you out.
