CD KEY in use in cod2 HELP!!!

Well lately I have been getting Keycode in use.... I do not know if it is a glitch, or somebody guessed my cdkey? Does it happen to anybody else? anybody know of a solution besides buying a new game?
 
It was me. Sorry... lol

I'd recommend sending them an email explaining the problem. I've heard of this happening in quite a few games.
 
1. Do you have an illegal version?
2. Someone could've got lucky and hit your key with a keygen.

Also, if the game crashes and then you reload it up.. then it might do that.

I actually got it from a friend...and yes it is legal.
 
Maybe your friend kept a copy of the game and cd key and happened to be playing the same time you were...

This happens waaay too often when buying from "friends" or online. (used, that is)

It is impossible, he sold his computer and moved back to Russian 2 months ago.

Did he reformat his computer when he sold it? lol.
 
You're kidding me, right? Your friend sells you a copy of his game and you're wondering what could possibly cause the "CD key in use" error? Doesn't take a police detective to figure this one out, dude.
 
Buying from a friend or a used copy is never a good idea. Same thing with buying used games at places like Half-Price books. Buy a new copy. I bought a new copy of City of Heroes and I got a message that the key was already in use. I emailed them and they asked me to fax a copy of the reciept and the back cover of the CD case with the invalid key. I did that, they terminated that key and gave me a new one. However, they made the mistake of giving me a liniage 2 key. I replied back and received a CoH key. So, though I did not get to play immediately, they were very fast about responding to me and getting a replacement ASAP. NCsoft's service is excellent.
