I upgraded my dad's computer somewhat and one of the things that I did was that I replaced his stock heatsink/fan with my old ThermalTake 6Cu+. Now this biatch is uber loud and annoying the heck out of me. Is there a simple mod that I can do to make less power go to the fan therefore decrease the loundness ? I really dont want to get one of those multi fan controllers some modders use. I just want a simple device that I can plug from the 3 pin connector and decrease the fan speed. Thanks for any suggestions.

PS: His CPU is running at 41C ... before it was running at 52C. (Athlon Tbird 1.2)

heh.. besides soldering a resistor or pot inline somewhere, doubt you can find something to just plug in. i'd go for a quiter fan personally, get a panaflo fan from newegg (look for high CFM and low dB in the fans)... they dont cost to much.

That takes time and money ... hehe
I guess Ill just replace fans ... it should keep the CPU atleast at 45C with the heatsink off the 6CU+
