Why has EA "dumbed" down the Eurofighter/Typhoon and the Challenger2

The Challenger2 is the best MBT out and the Typhoon is the best multi-role aircraft in service.
It will even take out a F22 if it is not caught by supprise via hte F22 steath (but stealth isn't that good against doppler radar)

it makes no sense to make it look like they are shite, they are not
 
BF2 is not designed to be realistic.

Its designed to be an arcade shootem up on the battlefield.

Therefore, all units and weapons are designed with gameplay in mind ;)
 
With an F-22 all the kills would be before the enemy fighters were even dots on the map. How fun would that be? ;)
 
It's to make the game more even. If people know that one side's planes totally rape the other's, then you would see team stacking like no other.

Balance. BF games are always Balance>Realism. Look to the mods (like Point of Existence 2) for realism which is arguably better than any production game.

:rolleyes: Doppler is not practical for military use. Its expensive, requires a lot of satellites, needs high-doppler filters to track a subsonic/sonic/super target.

if it stops a bomber getting through it aint expensive.

When the F117 first came over to the UK we had just rolled out a complete Dopper radar around us (mainly for precision tracking and seeing through clouds)

The Command & chief decided to see how good the "steath" really was. Lo and behond it lit up brighter then a christmas tree

The DoD excuse "steath wasn't enabled" best excuse I have ever heard steath as we know it is passive


Sure doppler is expensive and bulky to put into a nose cavety BUT with a steath aircraft being lit-up from a GND-base station standard radar can track from the reflections.

its great, Steath is null&void
 
The Eurofighter handles like a Pinto in mud. IMHO it's the worst plane in the entire game.
