My aunt has a wireless network at her house using a 2.4 GHz 54g Linksys Broadband Router. Her house is 3 stories and the router is on the top story next to my computer cause I don't a wireless card. She has an ibook with a airport card that works fine.. she can even be on the web out on the porch but the trouble came when I tried getting her boyfriend's to work. He's got an older style G3 Laptop with an airport card in it. After fucking with it for an hour I got it to connect to the router and go online. I brought the Laptop upstairs btw just cause it was easier to work on. As I bring it downstairs I see the signal going all the way down to nothing and then it cuts off. I can't even make it to the second floor of the house without it losing signal, when my aunt's will go to the porch which is outside on the bottom floor. It's a new airport card thats giving us the trouble. Has anyone seen this before? Anyone have any hints or ideas?
