OK, I got my eVGA 6800 last thursday. This morning I decided to load up powerstrip and see what this card can do. All I can say is that I was extremely impressed. 325/700 to 400/800, not a single problem. It is running warmer, but not too warm (per the nvidia temp panel). My 3dmarks went through the roof. From 8425 to 9766 and that's with a paltry AMD64 2800 (not overclocked). I know that most people cannot afford a GT or Ultra, so don't pass up the performance of the standard 6800. I could probably OC a little higher, but for now I think I will thick with this. I don't have the money to buy another if I fry this one. Keep in mind, your mileage may vary. As for me...bring on the Far Cry patch 1.2 and Doom 3...

yes im looking at one now, im hopeing for 450core 800+ memory i will be looking into some voltmods though/...

I think i found a buyer for my 9800pro 128 (200$) and allready sold a my SCSI setup for $100 (CARD, DRIVE CABEL)

too bad the GPU is not sold for 2 weeks (his payday)

OK, I was able to get it to run stable at 400800. The GPU is at its limit with stock cooling.

IMHO Gettinbg paid Fri..Till then looking for the best deal..Around 285.00 so far..I guess evga over PNY unless I hear different..Let me know if u guiys hear anything..

Definately go with eVGA...I don't know if the cards are better than PNY but they have a "Step up" program where you can turn in your card for a higher end model and just pay the price difference. (within 90 days)

You're definitely going to need some voltmods to reach 450, and probably some extra cooling too.

Even the GTs that reach ~430core need voltmods to avoid throttling at higher core clocks.

my 6800 OC's to 410/790 aswell ..... these GT coolers EVGA used are nice ... i think theres something weird about these cards, we have so much more headroom than the GT/ULTRA's .... they reach only 80MHZ past their stock clocks, we do like 100MHZ+ with out NU's .....lets start a conspiracy

on the BFG card: it comes with the shitty Ti4600 cooler on it, the 5700U has a better cooler than that lol .. that pre-clocked 20mhz is all youll get , its a standard poopshit fan ... and my EVGA has a good warranty too, considering i buy a new card every 8 months anyway

I run 24/7 at 430/1150. I might try pushing it to 435/440 and see how that goes.

I just ordered from monarch.

Greg says 20 units in stock..

Mine will be here Monday.32.00 overnight(Friday.Sat,sun then delivery)

But what the hell Wensdaydelivery otherwise.
(Hey I can spell it the way I want to)

I really wouldnt make any negative coments about BFG OC cards. The vast majority of the buyers have gotten great oc's with them. Not to mention that they come with that 20mhz oc out of the box. Tell me does your evga card give you 20mhz out of the box? No. And if you try to oc to that 20mhz and fry your card will evga give you another one? No.

So honestly dont knock on BFG's hustle cause they got a good quality card along with good quality customer service.

And no Im not a BFG fanboy, Im just a guy who hates it when people make negative/dumb comments about a good/reputable product or manufactuer.

nice overclocks, I have some friends who are looking for a lower priced card like the 6800 nonultra/non gt. It's certainly a much better value than other cards in that price range(5950/9800 xt)

Cat 4.7 6414
9800 o/c to 412/378 6442

61.76 drivers

Stock 6800nu 325/700 8981 ran again 8991

6800nu o/c to 375/700 9775

6800nu o/c to 400/700 10070

Side note... When I used the detect overclock settings
button the software determined 392/833 was the way
to go...I clicked apply and My system rebooted and did
the scandisk thing.. I have heard of this anomaly in other posts..
I can say for sure this feature is not to be trusted
These settings are manual..
Will work with them as I go along..

it is a 100 bucks higher than the 9800pro and 5900XT...but i think its way worth it.

Actually, you're wrong on that one. I just got my BFG 6800OC yesterday...went and picked it up from Chumbo.com(they're local for me) and they've got a new very slick version of it. I love this card, never seen temp go past 74C. Just don't know if I want to oc it and void the warranty. Very nice, very very heavy card though. Yummy.

P.S. BFG says its not available until 8/15 but they're lying, I have one inside my comp. right now. :)

BFG 6800OC (new version)

mine is at 365 core max for me
mem 735 and still going.. i go real slow as i am overly cautious
also i got it at tigerdirect.com
evga 6800 289.00 plus full verision of farcry
