Well since it is a socket 939, you should really run it in dual channel. However, 512 megs of ram just doesnt cut it these days and getting 2x256 megs will make it hard to upgrade to a gig. I say just get a socket 754 instead, they're much cheaper, and get 1 512 meg stick and get another later.

For me, that makes no sense. I will have this computer for a few years. I would just like buy a bigger processor in the future, additionally this combo is only $100 more than the 3400+ and Epox. I am very conservative with my money, and I have been saving up for over a year for this upgrade, not neccesarily the 939, but what was out. Additionally it has 4 slots, so I could buy another dual channel later, to bring it up to 1 gig. It isn't like anything is set in stone, but I will be ordering soon whatever I decide.
