How far can a barton 2500+ be actually pushed, i want to purchase it coupled with the DFI Lanparty.
People say the board reaches 250 FSB easily, so what im asking is:
Can the Barton do it?

and if it can, would you use the HiperX PC4000 ddr500 at 3 4 4 8 as your memory...

please leave your input, i want to make the best purchase i can, i'm on a tight budget....

Yes a Barton is certainly capable of 250 and higher. But every CPU is different. I went through 11 2500+'s before I found this one that does 250 x 10.

The LanParty/Infinity series are great boards..You will not have a problem overclocking on them.

No PLEASE DO not buy this memory. Do buy PC4000 for AMD chipsets. Buy lower latency PC3200 or PC3500..preferably something with Winbond BH-5 chips...and pump the voltage through it (DFI gives up to 3.3v)

I have my Mushkin Level II doing 250Mhz 1:1 with 3.2v without a prob @ 2-2-2.0 timings. PC4000 WILL NOT give you that.
