165 Hz IPS vs 240 Hz VA?

Looking at picking up a dirt cheap budget 1080p gaming monitor as a display for a second setup, and I’ve found 2 from Acer that are well reviewed with these specs respectively. Which one would provide a better experience for games with fast motion?

budget high refresh VA panels usually have terrible ghosting so make sure to do your research before you buy. Which ones are you looking at?

It depends. For general, fast-paced gaming, 165Hz is enough and the monitor being IPS is always a plus. On the other hand, if you're really tryhard (CS:GO, Valorant or even some racing games) go for 240Hz, but beware of ghosting as LigTasm said.
