I finally dusted this project off (been working on it for years) and completed it last weekend.
My goal was to have a minimalist MAME arcade cabinet (no floorspace, wallmount, no waste).
I did this by:
-using a LCD mounted mini-itx case (computer is 7"x7"x2" mouned behind the LCD)
-20"...
Saw your Altair 8800b and Cosmac elf computer, I am an avid collector and would love to purchase both if you are willing to sell (I have a hand wired cosmac elf and an 8800b turnkey NO front panel switches, and still looking for an altair 680). Please let me know if they are for sale and...
My specs of the system are as follows:
Q9550 CPU OC'D 2.8ghz to 3.02ghz
Micro-ATX MSI G45M
4GB DDR2 1066mhz
320GB 7200RPM 2.5"
3x30GB OCZ Vertex RAID 0
Low Profile 9600GT Video card (GPU OC'D 600mhz to 760mhz, MEM OC'D 900mhz to 1ghz)
Power consumption at the wall outlet: 100watts idle...
I know it's been WAY too long, but I am still working on this MOD.
I have installed 3x30GB OCZ vertex SSDs in RAID 0 for my boot drive!
Also, I have hand made a micro reservoir, it was ALOT of work (had to custom order 45/64" bit, 11.8mm bit, and a G1/4 tap).
Also, drilling a hole that...
So I just purchased a Q9550 (not the 9550S) for $169 from microcenter (just regular sale price, what a DEAL!). I REALLY wanted to get a Q9550S as I am using a 300W power supply and don't have much power for the already maxed out system (9600GT, water cooling and 4 hard drives).
So, I decided...
You may remember some of my mods included a Sharp X68000 converted into a quad core liquid cooled gaming desktop:
My next project is a Sinclair QL:
The goal of this Mod is to make the Sinclair QL a media keyboard PC, meaning on-board LI-ION battery with 2-4hour usage, and HDMI...
I assume you would be correct on why it kept freezing up then =) Hopefully Microsoft can remedy this, the demo was simply amazing I would love to see that type of gaming in the near future. Can you image linking 4 of the 360's up =)
as I mentioned prior, the A/V connectors were attached. I can only assume the gigabit helps keep the two XBOX's in sync, and the A/V port splits the processing (much like SLI) this would let each XBOX process half of the screen and therefore theoretically perform twice the amount of rendering...
The demo was given using the gigabit RJ45 port, no fiber. Latency did not appear to be a problem: I was looking for tears in the picture and latency issues at the time =). As for the sound being much better, I was told it can handle twice the amount of voices, this was very apparent during the...
I recently received a demo of the XBOX360 cluster capability during a visit to the development center (brother works out there). They clustered 2 XBOX360's together via the broadband connector (and appeared to also be using a dual A/V connector).
While in clustered mode the XBOX360's...
Please let me know what you think!
