Considering I run my Radeon 4850 off a 300W power supply, yours should be more than enough for it!

I have a E6550 (2333mhz with 1333 FSB) and I was curious how it compares to the E8400. I don't overclock, and my motherboard cannot do quad cores, so I can't do that.

My core 2 duo E6550 is only 2.33ghz and it runs Left 4 dead on all high OK. Are P4s really that much slower?

I really enjoy on 32 bit windows it crashing after a while because it hits the 2GB limit in DX10. Pure Quality Software!

I personally would prefer every one of my opponents to use an AimBot rather than have to use Punkbuster. Its only a game, and if someone else wants to use a piece of software for their jollies, great for them. What a shitty piece of software!

I like high DPI, so I was curious if there are any 20 inch or less LCDs that support 1080p resolution, or its 16:10 aspect ratio cousin? From my casual searches, you need at least 22 inches before you can get 1080p, and was wondering if there were any other options that I have missed.

Radeon HD 4850 with a 300W works here, E6550+1GBx2+HD+DVD. Just get a Sata power -> molex adaptor x2 then use molex-pcie power x2. (Yes a Dell Inspiron 530 user too)

My Dell has a mighty 300W supply, and it is the same as yours except with only one HD. You should be fine.

If you have the original game only, will buying the second expansion include the content from the first, or do you need to pay for both?

My 4850 works on a 300W with no 4 pin molex/pci-e power connectors (I use sata power>molex>pcie x2). So this with the proper converters your computer should do a 8800gt easily.

I plan on getting a geforce 9600gt. My powersupply only has one 4-pin power connector. Is it ok to only use one half of a Y connector? This is to change the 4-pin into 6-pin PCIE.

Disabling restore points from System doesn't help, when I try to update with WU, it freezes trying to make a restore point. How do I get WU to stop trying to make a restore point? Tried disabling the service as well, it still freezes at the Creating Restore Point stage :( blargh

While shopping around, I found a "turbo" version of the 9550. its rates are 405/440. This would make it inbetween 9600 and 9600pro correct? Would it be worth it for around $75?
